Soapberries are the dried nuts from the fruit of the Sapindus Mukorossi tree which naturally grows in the Himalayas. The nut shell contains 'saponin', which is a natural soap. Soapberries are a completely natural and zero waste laundering option.
1Kg of That Red House Soapberries will last 365 loads of washing, using 5-6 berries in the included cotton pouch.
Simply pop the pouch (with berries inside) into your load - this pouch will last up to 5 washes before needing to replace.
For a more effective wash we recommend using warm water to activated the saponin - the ingredient that cleans.
Remove the pouch immediately after each load and allow to dry - left in contact with light colours may cause stains.
The berries will loose their shape and become brittle when they are ready for composting, FOGO bin or digging into the garden.
That Red House Soapberries are certified organic by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) who regularly undertake to ensure the best standards and conditions are met by growers, harvesters and packers.
The Soapberries are grown and harvested by communities in the Himalayas, shipped to and packed in Australia.
